Spot is NOT broken!

However, Mother Nature has changed our plans several times.  Originally we were to spend yesterday in Little Harbour and cross from the Abacos to Eleuthera today (Saturday, 11 June).  Due to the forecast of 6-foot swells diminishing to 1 to 2-foots on Sunday made us push our crossing back a day, with two days to explore Little Harbour.  I was looking forward to walking to the lighthouse, snorkeling, collecting sea glass, checking out the gallery, and going to Pete's Pub.  We had rain all day yesterday so our next change was to stay in Hope Town another day and go to Little Harbour today.  After rereading the Cruising Guides and checking the tide tables, we scratched Little Harbour totally.  The harbor has plenty of water, but the channel in has less than four feet at low tide.  Getting in this afternoon on a rising high tide would not be a problem, but leaving Sunday morning on a dropping tide would not ideal.  So we have decided to save Little Harbour for our next trip to the Abacos!

The rain is over and it is a beautiful morning (Saturday, 11 June).  We plan to take the dinghy to Lubber Quarters to check out Cracker P's Bar & Grill.  We might also check out Tahiti Beach on the south end of Elbow Cay.

We plan to leave early tomorrow morning for Spanish Wells, Eleuthera.  It's about a 60 NM trip.

Cheers from Salty Lady and Tonto's Reward... Gail B.
