ELSKE at Marco Island
Elske arrived at Marco about 4 PM, 44.3 miles from GHYC. The cruise down encountered 1-2' seas, clear skies, and lots of dolphins at play. She is berthed at Marco Island Marina, http://www.marcoislandmarina.com/ (239) 642-2531. This is a lovely marina with floating docks, 122 slips 40-110', beams to 20', drafts to 7', pool & spa, exercise room, and all the usual. Slips are individually owned and live-aboards are allowed. It is attached to the Marco Island Yacht Club, a member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, who owns 3 of the slips. The MIYC clubhouse restaurant and lounge are available to boaters with a guest pass. The Kelleys enjoyed a delicious dinner at MIYC and had the pleasure of meeting other boaters who had been cruising the Bahamas since November -- and all we have is 2 weeks!
